CITY OF KORONADAL, South Cotabato – National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Secretary Arsenio M. Balisacan challenged the employees of the NEDA Regional Office (NRO) XII to do their best in their respective roles during his brief meet and greet with the staff on September 7, 2023.

This visit followed the successful organization of the CY 2023 Third Quarter NEDA Management Committee (ManCom) Meeting, which was hosted by the NRO XII in General Santos City from September 6 to 7, 2023.

In his message to the NRO, Secretary Balisacan reflected on the significant strides that the NRO XII had made since his previous tenure as NEDA’s Secretary in 2015. One noteworthy achievement that stood as testament was the completion of the NEDA Regional Office XII building, which now stands at the Prime Regional Government Center in Carpenter Hill, Koronadal City. Construction of the building began in 2015 during Secretary Balisacan’s first term as NEDA Secretary.

“Do the best that you can in your noble mission of fostering economic growth and development in SOCCSKSARGEN region,” said Balisacan. “When resources are scarce, persistent efforts can bridge the gap, reassuring everyone that they have the capacity to catch up and thrive.”

He also further extended his gratitude to the entire NRO XII team for their sincere hospitality and efforts in providing quality services to its clients.

The NEDA Secretary was accompanied by other NEDA officials during the visit, including Undersecretary and Chief of Staff Melbourne Ziro D. Pana of Legal Affairs and Special Concerns, Undersecretary Rosemarie G. Edillon of the Policy and Planning Group (PPG), Director Remedios S. Endencia of the Regional Development Staff (RDS), and Assistant Regional Director (ARD) Carmel P. Matabang of NEDA CALABARZON, who was a former ARD of NRO XII. (ORD/ABBeljot)
