Cotabato City – The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Regional Office XII presented the Ambisyon Natin 2040 and the Philippine Development Plan (PDP), 2017-2022 to the students and personnel of Notre Dame University (NDU) and to some barangay officials of Cotabato City during the Forum on the PDP and Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion Act on August 12, 2017 at Beato Tariman Hall, NDU Compound, Cotabato City.

The activity was organized by the Master in Public Administration students and Graduate School Student Council of NDU.

Ms. Sandra J. Alido of the Development Research Division of NEDA XII made the presentation. She stressed that the Ambisyon Natin 2040 is the long term vision for the Filipinos and the Philippines and sets the direction of the country across four administrations. She also presented the Philippine Development Plan (PDP), 2017-2022 which is anchored on the 0 to 10 agenda of Duterte administration and the first development plan that contains the strategies towards the attainment of Ambisyon Natin 2040.

About three barangay chairpersons of Cotabato City were present during the forum, and they expressed their appreciation to NEDA XII for informing them of the plan and strategies of the current administration. They proposed that the PDP and the Ambisyon Natin be also presented to their respective barangays. NEDA XII welcomes this development as it pursues a massive advocacy of the Ambisyon Nation, PDP, as well as the SOCCSKSARGEN RDP, 2017-2022. (Gwyneth Grace B. Collado, NEDA XII-DRD)
