KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato – The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Regional Office XII generously donated an extensive collection of learning resource materials from its Special Reference Data Center (SRDC) to the South Cotabato State College (SCSC). This noble undertaking is NEDA XII’s support to the knowledge resources build-up of SCSC to improve educational opportunities, empower students and researchers to thrive more for resilience, and be more globally competitive.

NEDA XII’s commitment to knowledge dissemination, community enrichment, and sustainable development is exemplified in the donation comprising of development plans, journals, and other reference materials on economics, children/youth development and empowerment, agriculture, commerce, and human settlements, among others. Such a diverse collection of books will bolster the academic endeavors and performances of students in the said institution.

The ceremonial turn-over to SCSC was done during the third quarter meeting of the Regional Social Development Committee (RSDC) XII on September 13, 2023 held at Delias Bistro, Koronadal City, South Cotabato.

Dr. Edward Lovell B. Brillantes, President of SCSC, was deeply honored and grateful for NEDA XII’s support in enhancing education and promoting scholarly endeavors. “These learning materials will not only enrich the institution’s library but will also inspire the thirst for knowledge among their students, researchers, and faculty,” said Dr. Brillantes.

This initiative was also an opportunity for NEDA XII to share and contribute to the development of lifelong learning in SOCCSKSARGEN region. Further, it serves as a testament to the transformative power of education through collaborative efforts and partnerships between government agencies and academic institutions, and thus, reflects a shared commitment to shaping a brighter future for the youth and the region as a whole.
