Koronadal City, South Cotabato – AmBisyon Natin 2040, a collective long-term vision of the Filipino people for themselves and the country for the next 25 years, shall be launched on November 22, 2016 at Family Country Hotel and Convention Center in Gen. Santos City; and on November 23, 2016 at Sardonyx Plaza, Cotabato City.
Ambisyon Natin 2040 presents the aspirations of the Filipino people drawn from the findings of 42 focused-group discussions nationwide, followed by a NEDA-commissioned survey involving 10,000 respondents from various sector.
In order to address these aspirations, President Rodrigo Duterte has laid out the 0+10 point socioeconomic agenda which echoes the dreams of the Filipino people for a Matatag, Maginhawa at Panatag na Buhay, as expressed in the AmBisyon Natin 2040.
Further, President Duterte responded to the Filipino’s expressed aspirations by signing Executive Order No. 5, approving and adopting AmBisyon Natin 2040 to be the basis of development planning for the next four administrations.
Thus, the Matatag, Maginhawa at Panatag na Buhay, as expressed in the AmBisyon Natin 2040 shall continuously be echoed so that every Filipino would be able to fully understand, appreciate and strive for its achievement.
The launching of Ambisyon Natin 2040 shall be done at the national and regional levels. The national level launching dubbed as Grand Expo of AmBisyon Natin 2040, was conducted on November 15, 2016 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
Regional launching activities are being done on different schedules with those for Region XII to be conducted in Gen. Santos City and in Cotabato City.
The launching is expected to generate a broad-based support to the Long -Term Vision. The commitment of the participants to the long term vision shall be sealed with their signing of a pledge of commitment.
Aside from the launching, orientations shall likewise be conducted for other groups not present in the launching especially the youth who will be living AmBisyon Natin 2040 in their lifetime. (Rosa D. Lemana, NEDA XII-DRD)
