Koronadal City, South Cotabato — The NEDA Regional Office XII launched the celebration of the 116th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) with a simple kick-off program and a walkathon around the Regional Government Center grounds in Koronadal City on 1 September 2016.. The PCSA is an annual celebration for the lingkod bayani or servant heroes of the government. This year’s theme centered on ”Sigaw ng Lingkod Bayani: Malasakit para sa Taumbayan, Kapwa Kawani at Kalikasan.”
The launching activity was highlighted by Zumba-physical fitness where the NRO XII staff gamely sweated out and stretched their muscles to the pumping beat and inspiring moves of X’Cell gym instructors.
In his message to the NRO XII staff, Regional Director Arturo G. Valero emphasized the meaning of the dictum “Public office is a public trust.” He enjoined the staff to act responsibly, observe courtesy at all times, and give their best in rendering public service.
